Joan Patterson Woodhull, 83, Passed December 16, 2018. Born January 4th, 1935 in Bronxville, NY with over 20 years in mid-coast Maine and Vero Beach, FL. Joan graduated Bennet junior college. Amongst her may career achievements throughout her life she worked for KLM Airlines, Bred over 200 Glen Raven Golden retrievers and excelled at yacht sales. The Pinnacle of her career was as Founding owner of Art of the sea in S. Thomaston, ME. For over 20 years. She also was a long-term volunteer at the Owls Head transportation museum and Knoxville humane society.

In her spare time, she became a licensed pilot and spent over 1,000 hours flying. She loved the sea and spent decades cruising and racing from Nova Scotia to the Bahamas. She loved to laugh and was always surrounded by friends, family and her beloved pets.

She is survived by her husband, of 58 years, Tad Woodhull. Her brother Roy Patterson of Cary, NC. Her children Jay Woodhull and wife Marie of Vero Beach, FL and Joy Hamilton of Damiscotta, ME. Her 4 grandchildren Alexandra, Corbin, Conner and Victoria and Great grandchild Hunter.

A service will be held January 5th, 2019 at St. Marks Anglican church in Vero Beach, FL at 11am. She will be laid to final rest at the family plot at Kensico in Valhalla, NY. Donations can be made to St. Marks Anglican Church, PO box 6994, Vero Beach, FL 32967.
