My wife and I were VERY CLOSE friends with Lois and her husband, Joe. We first met our freshman year at Rutgers, Joe had called us to tell us of Lois' passing and now we just learned of Joe's passing. We are so saddened - we always looked forward to seeing Lois and Joe when they visited us each year in Pennsylvania - between their Colorado and Florida trips. We also attended their wedding in Wayne PA as well as Joe's retirement party given to Joe by Lois many years in Hillsborough NJ. Joe's uncle Bill Thompson and my father were very close friends and teammates at Peddie Prep School in Hightstown N J. Joe and I first met in 1958 at Rutgers when we lived on the same floor of our freshman year dorm and later we joined the same fraternity. Lois and my wife Alice first met at a Rutgers fraternity party in 1959 and became life-long friends!
