Marcel LaRose Obituary

MARCEL S. LAROSE Marcel S. LaRose 75, of Port St. Lucie, died Friday, November 11, 2005 at St . Lucie Medical Center. He was born in Graniteville, Vermont, and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 15 years, coming from Wallingford, Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement he was a machinist for Pratt Whitney for 35 years in North Haven, Connecticut. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, FL. Survivors include: his wife, Mary LaRose, of Port St. Lucie, FL.; four stepsons: William Lonergan , of Durham, CT, John Lonergan , of Acton, Maine, Michael Lonergan, of Meriden, CT, and Matthew Lonergan of Boynton Beach, FL.; eight stepgrandchildren; two step-greatgrandchildren; three sisters: Annette Lessard of Fort Pierce, FL., Yvette Falconeri (Joe) of Newington, CT, and Theresa LaRose of Columbus, NC; three brothers: Raymond LaRose, of Fort Pierce, FL, Larry LaRose, of Fort Pierce, and Norbert LaRose, of Fort Pierce, FL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John LaRose and his parents Ernest and Lena LaRose. Visitation will be held Monday, November 14, 2005, from 3PM-6PM, with a prayer service at 4PM at Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, FL. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial

I was saddened to hear of the passing of a truly remarkablbe man. We shall all miss him. Marcel was a gentle soul of great character - - he always had a smile & a desire to uplift the spirit of others.
