Mehron "Bud" Melik

Mehron "Bud" Melik, 90, died Aug. 3, 2013, at Treasure Coast Hospice. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Port St. Lucie for 28 years, coming from Sayville, N.Y. He served in the Army during World War II, attaining the rank of sergeant. He was a retired dealership manager for Newins Ford for 25 years in Long Island, N.Y. Survivors include his sons, Robert Melik of Port St. Lucie, George Melik of West Sayville, N.Y., and Thomas Melik of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Jeanne Ehring of Manorville, N.Y., Cathy Tedesco of Stuart, Jill Carman of Moriches, N.Y., Nancy Cisek of West Sayville and Jacqueline Stucklen of Sayville; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife, Jeanne Melik; and a grandson. Services: Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 5 at the Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie Chapel, with a service at 6 p.m. Interment will be in the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, on Aug. 6.
