RICHARD TUNING Obituary

RICHARD GENE TUNING Richard Gene Tuning, of Port St. Lucie Florida, passed away on May 8, 2015 at Martin Memorial Hospital North at the age of 82. He was born in Burns, Oregon on March 20, 1933 to Clarence and Leona Tuning. He grew up in Parma, Idaho where he established himself in high school as a very talented baseball pitcher only to have his career cut short due to a shoulder injury. After high school, he attended Idaho State College. Richard went to work at United Airlines and spent quite a bit of time in their sales division. He later joined the William E. Wright Corporation and continued his passion for sales. He eventually ended up going to work for Lowes Home Improvement, where he worked for over 20 years and remained a full time employee until several months ago. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gretalee Tuning, his children, Jeff (Linda) Tuning of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Laurie Bruno, Sparta, NJ, and grandchildren Jeffrey Jr. and Genevieve Tuning. A memorial service will be held in his honor at Grace Lutheran Church in Port Saint Lucie on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:00.

Enjoyed our visit with Dick & Greta a few years ago when we stopped to catch up on old times. Dick was so proud of his new Mini-Cooper . He & Don stayed in the garage at length discussing all the car accoutrements while Greta & I talked of our fun & crazy times at CHP. Dick will be greatly missed. RIP
