SHANNA COLLINS Obituary
SHANNA FAULKNER COLLINS Shanna Faulkner Collins, 31, of Tequesta passed away on January 25, 2015. Shanna was a Science Teacher at Martin County High School. She loved the outdoors, wildlife, ballroom dancing and kayaking. Shanna loved teaching, loved her students, and loved her son tremendously. Shanna will be greatly missed by her husband Bill Collins; her son Shawn Collins; her parents Barry Faulkner and Dorothy Boyd Faulkner; her sisters Lynette, Bettie, Stephanie and Susan; her father and mother-in law John and Charlotte Collins. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31st at 4:00PM, First United Methodist Church, 815 E. Indiantown Road, Jupiter. Online condolences may be made at www.aycockfuneralhomejupiter.com.

I was so sad to hear of Mrs. Collins passing. My son and his friends were always telling me stories of the way that she made learning fun and how she inspired them. The few times that I met her at conferences, I could tell that she loved what she did and really cared about her students.

Mrs. Collins was my favorite science teacher. She was very passionate about science and even though Chemistry was hard, she always helped you understand it. I was so saddened to hear of the passing of one of my best friends from school. She was such a bright, beautiful person who I am sure will be missed dearly. Shanna was loved by so many for so many reasons. Love, light, and peace will carry her home. Please know that she will be missed, and that thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry to hear the news about Shanna. I have known her since middle school and she was always such a cheerful and smart person!! One of my memories was Ms. Chan's Biology class and how we both shared the love of marine life! I can still see that beautiful smile and hear her laugh. She will be missed greatly. I am so shocked. This was one of my best friends in highschool. I still remember meeting at her house with the science club to hike the mountain in kitrell, NC. Her spirit and thirst for life was amazing. Although we lost contact when we went to college I always wondered what great thing she would accomplish in life. She helped me through a very dark place in life. Now, she is in a place were her gift of help will continue for many. SHANNA you will be missed.

Shanna was my very best friend in elementary and middle school. I remember all the sleepovers, walks in the woods, and jumping on the trampoline in her back yard. So deeply saddened. Shanna came into our home and our family this past October to offer tutoring help to my son. She sat 3 nights a week at our kitchen table. As she helped with algebra homework, she was building confidence in my son who had all but thrown in the towel. They talked. They laughed. She became his friend. She loved teaching, that was clear from the very beginning. She touched our family in the short time that we knew her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
