Wallace G. Derrer

WALLACE G. DERRER Wallace G. Derrer of Montgomery, NY, and Vero Beach, Florida, retired from Derrer & Sons Repair Service and a longtime resident of the area died 02/08/2007, at home. He was 75. The son of Al and Regina Donges Derrer, he was born February 18, 1931 in Queens, NY. Wally was a veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean conflict. He belonged to the Elks Club in Vero Beach, FL, the Moose Lodge of Vero Beach, FL,the American Legion and U.C.T. of Newburgh, NY. Wally started Derrer and Sons Repair Service in Montgomery in 1975; which is now run by his sons Wallace D. and Mark Derrer. Survivors include his Loving wife Barbara Heath Derrer at home Daughter Debra McCullough, her husband George and their daughters Colleen and Katlyn of Montgomery, NY. Son Wallace D. Derrer, his wife Audrey and their daughter Megan of Montgomery, NY, Son Mark A. Derrer and his wife Lori of Walden, NY, Brother George Derrer of Dolthan, AL Sister Edna Smith of Mesa, Az, Numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in Vero Beach at a later date. Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties Inc. 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
