We were saddened to hear of Nancy's illness and had kept her in our prayers to the end. Our instict was that this is such an awful time of year to loose such a wonderful person. But in thinking harder, no matter how those here may feel, how almost appropriate that God took her home at this time of year. Nancy lived Christmas every day. She was truly God's child and though this be a difficult time for her friends and family, her life continues on in all who knew her...She brought spirit to every encounter. She was a talented musician, humble and dedicated friend & teacher. She will not be forgotten and will be missed. We will miss her.

We were not related, but Nancy was family. I was very blessed to know and love Nancy. We laughed together, we cried together, we prayed together and we played together! Nancy was game for just about anything and she always saw the humor in a situation. She made me laugh and I so much appreciated her for "rolling with it" no matter what was going on! She had an easy way about her. She was a people person and the more people around, the more chaotic it was, the more she loved it! She had the gift of hospitality and opened her home from everything to Bible Study,

dinners, video night, and parties for her 4th grade class!

Nancy's deep faith was genuine and she loved God without pretense or apology.

One of my favorite memories of Nancy was when we went canoeing. We made the mistake of taking her dog and my dog with us. Her dog wanted to jump in the water and my dog wanted nothing to do with the water. We took a wrong turn and ended up stranded on a mud flat,,,couldn't paddle in the mud, so we and the dogs had to get out and hike the canoe out of the mud into better waters. we were a mess, but we laughed about it for months afterwards! I will miss Nancy terribly and I will treasure each memory.

Nancy was an awesome teacher and friend. She was my youngest daughter's second grade teacher at Longview Christian and we connected immediately. She's been part of our circle ever since. She was a spiritual mentor to our children and she was just plain FUN! My girls have memories of after school times at her house, parties and more. My youngest daughter had the privilege to house & dog sit for Nancy this summer and felt so honored to be entrusted with Nancy's home and pets. I had the honor of playing in two musical groups with Nancy. She was a gifted musician and a trusted "sister". I will miss her greatly!
