Terence Jenkins Obituary

Terence Blane Jenkins

February 15, 1965 - December 25, 2024

Terence "TJ" Blane Jenkins, 59, of Castle Rock, Washington, passed away Christmas morning, December 25, 2024, in Winfield, Alabama. He was born February 15, 1965, in Winfield, Alabama, to Jerry Lamar and Genny Lee (Stanford) Jenkins. He married Kristine Melissa Bern of Florence, Alabama on June 27, 1987, at Winfield Church of God.

He graduated from Winfield City High School in 1983 and started on offense and defense, playing football for Northeast Mississippi Community College. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama in 1988. Over his career, he worked as an RN in the emergency department, operating room, and surgery center in Alabama, Georgia, and Washington. He was most recently employed at Pacific Surgical Center in Longview, Washington.

He loved football, especially college, and was a true University of Alabama fan - Roll Tide! He also loved hunting, fishing, playing guitar, singing, and making us all laugh using his quick wit. He could write a song that would touch your heart or crack a joke that made you laugh until you cried. He shared his faith in Jesus Christ through his actions and love for others.

He was the beloved husband of Kristine "Kris" "KJ" Melissa (Bern) Jenkins and father of Micah Elizabeth (Devin Butler) and Elijah "Eli" Stanford Jenkins. He is also survived by his mother, Genny Lee (Stanford) Jenkins, and sisters, Marla Celeste Jenkins, and Jennifer "Niki" Nicole Jenkins (Jason Adams).

Extended family members include mother-in-law, Carol Jean (McMaster) Bern, brother-in-law, Kurtis Alarik Bern (Sally), nieces, Kelsey Ann Bern, Hanna Alise Bern, Anna Kathryn (Tyner) Watson (Ethan), great niece, Lilian Mae Watson, nephews, Alexander Kane Jenkins (Ellis Osen), and Ian Thomas Kennedy.

A celebration of his life is scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at The Roxy Theater, 1101 Commerce Avenue, Longview, Washington 98632.

Instead of flowers, we ask that you honor Terence's (TJ's) memory by doing something he would do - take someone fishing or hunting, enjoy a football game, play your favorite music, or help someone less fortunate.

I enjoyed working with TJ for many years at PeaceHealth in the Operating room.
I was old enough to be his mom, so we weren't pals, but I could always count on him for a pleasant day and a good attitude. I remember only smiles and happy times. God bless TJ and his beloved family.
