I am sorry for your lose. Alan and I grew up together on Orient Street, I remember the great fun we had pretending the ledge formation across the street was a PT Boat. He had a great imagination and there was never a dull moment. he will truly be missed.

I met Al only 4 months ago through a collector car friend. Al was a big help in getting my 55 DeSoto back on the road. I was looking forward to becoming a lifelong acquaintance of Al's. He was a very nice person. I am sure he will be missed by many.

We were so sorry to hear of Alan's passing. I have many wonderful memories of Alan and the Gemme family that span over 50 years. Alan was always a kind, caring person with a happy go lucky fun loving personality. He was always there when needed but even more so he was there helping out even when not asked. He was such a giving person. Our hearts and prayers go out to all of you. I am sure that Rita and Pete were waiting for him with open arms. Our very deepest condolences.

We called him uncle Al because you always felt a sense of reassurance in his company. I remember as if it were yesterday the days at Holmes field and the fun we had as a group. Even years later as a police officer he would always talk with fond memories about those days. When my dad past away Alan led the procession from the church with a police escort. I will never forget that moment. Rest in peace uncle Al, you are true blue. Our most sincere condolences to the entire Gemme family.
