Dear Laurie, I was very saddened to hear the news of Alan's passing. He was clearly one of the best. No matter what the challenge Alan was always one to be counted on. He will surely be missed by all that knew him. To you and your family, our most sincere condolences. Larry and Maryellen McVey

To Al's family,
I was shocked to hear of his passing. I am deeply saddened. I was his assistant at Footstar for the last year they were open. He was by far the best boss I ever had. We always had our debates on sports teams being that I am a New York fan and he a Boston fan. He always spoke so highly of his son and I could tell how proud he was of him. My condolences to your family during this difficult time. Know that he will be truly missed.

Laurie, Corey and Family;
So sorry to read about your loss. I first met Al playing softball in Millbury on The New Home Builders team. I was a rookie on the team and Al took me under his wing so to say. What a first class guy. His favorite thing to do to me when I was playing second base and he was in the outfield was to try to short hop the ball to me just to try to scare the heck out of me. Because we all know that he could have reached me from anywhere on the field. He always had an encouraging word to say to anyone on the team. And I'm sure he was like that away from the field as well. I will never forget those times on the field with him even though they were over 25 years ago. Again sorry for your loss. He was first class all the way.

My condolences on Alan's passing. I was a Tantasqua classmate of his. He was the stalwart pitcher of our baseball team and a great shot on the basketball court. My best wishes to all his family. David Ling
