Alice F. Bibi

Alice F. (Neves) Bibi, 78, of Marlborough, died Saturday (May 2, 2009) at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness.

She leaves her husband of 48 years, Louis V. Bibi. Also her children: Andrea E. Bibi of Marlborough and Louis V. Bibi Jr. and his wife JoAnn of Marlborough; and granddaughters: Alicia Bibi and Sarah Guernelli. She also leaves her sister, Judith Borella; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, to whom she was known simply as "Auntie". She was predeceased by her brother, Jose D. Neves and her sister, Odette Adams.

She was born in Hudson, daughter of the late Jacinto and Elvira (Ferreira) Neves and has lived in Marlborough for over 45 years.

She was a 1948 graduate of Hudson High School, where she was Captain of the cheerleaders her senior year and she attended Becker Junior College and later worked in various administrative positions in area companies.

She was an avid theater goer especially to Boston and she enjoyed trying new recipes and was eager to explore different styles of cuisine. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and one of their favorite destinations was Bar Harbor, Maine. Mrs. Bibi dearly loved her cats and her garden. Her strong spirit and ability to laugh at life's challenges will be greatly missed.

Funeral will be held Thursday (May 7, 2009) at 8 A.M. from the John P. Rowe Funeral Home, Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday 4 til 8 P.M.
