Alvino "Vito" Trifilo, 86
PHILLIPSTON - Alvino "Vito" Trifilo, 86, of Phillipston and Barnstable, MA, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2013 with his family by his side. Vito was born in South Barre, MA on January 30, 1927. He graduated from Barre High School and, along with 6 of his 7 brothers, proudly served in the United States Navy. He is predeceased by brothers, Joseph, Tindaro, Diamond, Matthew, Cleveland Trifilo, and one sister, Josephine Valinsky. He has 2 surviving brothers, Raymond and Arnold Trifilo. Vito is survived by Ethel, his loving wife of 64 years; son Daniel & wife Linda, daughter Debra Robinson & husband Ed; 5 grandchildren: Nathan Blaser & wife Casey, Jeremy Trifilo & wife Julie, Travis Blaser, Jason Trifilo & wife Alexa, Brooke Robinson & fiancé Christopher Duggan; 4 great grandchildren: Alvino John "A.J.", Connor, Kalie, Stella; many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends and family will always remember Vito for his never-ending sense of humor and his true love of life itself. Vito's favorite place in the entire world was sitting in his chair on the porch overlooking Queen Lake. The family of Alvino "Vito" Trifilo would like to thank the staff of Mugar 5 at Cape Cod Hospital, the VNA Hospice of Cape Cod, as well as the friends and family that supported him through his final journey. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life in on Saturday April 13, 2013 at 12:30 PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 96 South Barre Road, Barre. Visitation will precede the service from 11-12:30 PM. Burial will follow in Number 4 Cemetery, Farrington Rd., followed by a gathering at Hartman's Farm on Old Dana Road, Barre. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice of Cape Cod at 434 Route 134, Suite D-3, South Dennis, MA 02660. Please visit: Pillsburyfuneralhome.com
