Ann Reddy Obituary

Ann Reddy FLOYDADA - Margaret Ann Reddy, age 72, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008, at her home with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Floydada with the Rev. Les Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd County Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore Rose Funeral Home of Floydada. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-7p.m. Friday. Ann was born April 3, 1936, to Jack Deakins and Evelyn (Maddox) Deakins in Floydada. She grew up in Floydada and graduated in 1954 as salutatorian of her class. Her love of watching movies came from growing up in the Palace Movie Theatre, which was owned by her parents. She married Walter "Lewis" Reddy on Sept. 11, 1955. They were blessed with three children: Mitzi, Rick and Tracy. She was proud to be a homemaker. She was a Life Master in the Plainview Duplicate Bridge Club. Ann was a member of First United Methodist Church in Floydada. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lewis, who died in February 2001. She is survived by her children: daughter, Mitzi Hale and husband, Mike, of Richardson; son, Rick Reddy and wife, Kelli, of Floydada; and daughter, Tracy Thompson and husband, Lane, of Lubbock; her grandchildren, Brian Hale, Michelle Hale, Lindsey Pyle, Laura Zepeda, Jacob Reddy, Taylor Thompson and Bryce Thompson; and her great-grandchild, Kirsten Pyle. Memorials in Ann's name may be made to First United Methodist Church, 203 W. Kentucky, Floydada, TX 79235. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
