I have so much to be thankful for having known Barbara. As a mentor she freely shared her knowledge and gave me the confidence I needed to be successful in my career. As a friend she shared laughter and tears, holding me up when I needed support and enjoying every moment. I’ll miss her.

Barbara and I worked together for many years. In addition to everything else that has been said I would add that I shared many moments of uncontrollable laughter with Barbara in "official settings". The more somber and serious the occasion, the more likely that we were to cut up and get each other howling to the point of tears! I could always count on Barbara in that regard. Of course, we were usually reprimanded by the individual in charge of the meeting. That reprimand then fueled even more laughter on our parts. She has left me with a beautiful memory of that laughter!

Barbara and I were at
PCA together and had only recently connected after 50 years. Her accomplishments were so many and so beautiful and yet she was so humble you would never know all she did. She is missed by so many who knew her only briefly or knew her for a lifetime. Rest In Peace my friend. Thank you for being here.

What sad news. Barbara was a pillar in the field of special needs. I admired her knowledge and dedication to those she served. She shared her wealth of knowledge with people like myself, and by doing so shaped me into a better human service provider. I am comforted with the thought that she no longer struggles with the insidious disease of Alzheimers. Rest in Peace Barbara, and prayers for those you left behind to grieve a tremendous loss.

I worked with Barbara at IPP. She was a wonderful, caring, strong advocate for individuals with disabilities. So sorry for your loss.
