Recently came in possession of a wonderful seascape in Ponte Vedra beach Florida. It is 24 x 48 and will be a centerpiece in the home of a wonderful family who love the beach. I am so happy to learn of the life of this amazing artist. Based on the reflections She´d fit right in here. Thank her for her kindness and talent.

Twelve years ago I responded to an add in the paper about an art book sale. Barbara was hosting a house sale and I became the owner of some wonderful art books, which I treasure. I had the privilege of meeting her then and several times after that. She became a mentor to me, since I am a painter as well. It's a rich blessing to have known her and I mourn the loss of a great artist and dear friend. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I was saddened to hear of Mrs. Cocker's passing. She was a friend of our family's in the 1970's, and my mother, Helen Sperry, bought several of Barbara's seascape paintings. She will be missed by all who knew her.

SO sorry for your loss.My name is Ed Brannagan,I was Mrs Cockers UPS driver in Rumson for 15 years,sending many of her paintings and supplies to Nantucket and Fl.I also drove her station wagon to Fl. a few times with her painting in the rear of the wagon.Barbra was a special lady ,and I'am pround to call her my friend.

I was sad to read of Barbara's passing. I knew her from Rumson and have 3 of her paintings which I cherish and enjoy every day. While she has gone on to heaven, she is still with all of us who have had the privilege of knowing her and having a part of her talents with us in her paintings.
