Dr. Lawrence N. Rouff, 87, passed away on March 11, 2026. He was born on April 5,1938 in Binghamton, New York and predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Ada Rouff. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Lana K. Rouff, Vestal NY; his son Dr. Peter A. Rouff, Buffalo NY; his daughter Katie G. Ward, her husband Andrew Ward and two granddaughters Sophie and Ellie Ward, Rumson NJ; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Gerald Rosenbaum Buffalo, NY; a brother-in-law and his wife, Robert and Paula Gitlin, Rochester, NY; nieces and nephews.
Dr. Rouff was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School Class of 1956. He attended the University of Buffalo and received his DDS from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He served as a Navy Dental Officer and then returned to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine for his post-graduate orthodontic training. He practiced locally for 40 years. Dr. Rouff was a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, and a member of the Pierre-Fauchard Academy. He was a life member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the New York State Dental Society. Dr. Rouff was a Past President of the Sixth District Dental Society of the State of New York, the Broome County Dental Society, the Orthodontic Alumni Society of the University of Pennsylvania and the Broome Community College Foundation. He served on the Advisory Board and was a past supervising dentist at the Dental Hygiene Department of Broome Community College. He was past director of the Chase Manhattan Bank, NA in Binghamton and a member of Vestal Hills Country Club for over 50 years. He loved his family, his profession, and his friends.
Funeral and burial services will be private. His family will receive friends and family at his home on Monday March 16, 2026 from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. To forward condolences please visit www.demunn.com.
