Brian T. Long

HYANNIS - Brian T. Long, of Hyannis, Ma, died unexpectedly on October 28, 2016. Brian age 65, formerly of Marlborough, was the son of the late Stanley and Cecilia B. (McIntyre) Long. He leaves his brothers: Michael S. Long of Portsmouth, NH and his stepchildren Denise (Richards) Lucas and William Richards; Jeffrey B. Long and his wife Donna (Nowasacki) ; Sana A. Long of Hyannis and Toby M. Long and her husband William Cox of Bethesda, MD. He also leaves his nephews Peter C. Long and his wife Danielle of Duxbury, William J. Long and his wife Dessy of Shrewsbury and Charles Cox of Bethesda, MD; his grandnephew Darren J. and grandniece Tessa S. Long of Duxbury. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Simone Y. Long.

Brian was a 1968 graduate of Marlborough High School and a 1972 graduate of Norwich University, where he received a BS in finance. Brian also earned an MBA from Babson College in 1975. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving as an officer in the Finance Corp. He worked in the finance industry, retiring as a Vice President of Fidelity Management Company.

Brian was very proud of his nephews and niece, especially their academic and athletic endeavors. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and football, travel and his second home in Naples, Fl.

Following cremation, Relatives and Friends are invited to a Graveside Service on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11:00AM at Rural Cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road, Southborough, Ma These arrangements are in the care of the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main Street, Marlborough, MA.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to a charity of one's choice in Brian's memory.
