C. Winchester Obituary
Auburn - C. Harry Winchester, 84, of Auburn and Palm City, FL, passed away Monday, May 27th in his home with his family who loved him so much. Born in Worcester, July 29, 1928, he was the son of the late Leon H. and Florence A. Winchester. He attended Commerce High School before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps.
He was a successful businessman, building and owning several mobile home parks and retiring as President of the family business; Winchester Insurance Agency. He always considered his family his biggest success. Like everything else he did, he left us "his way". He celebrated 61 years of marriage with "Midge" on May 17, 2013. He was loved, respected and surrounded by a large family that will miss him every day.
He leaves his beloved wife Marjorie A. (Anderson) Winchester, five children; Clifford H. Winchester, Jr. and his wife Holly of Cape Elizabeth, ME Deborah Winchester Cantin, of Auburn, Beth L. Winchester, of Millbury, Scott D. Winchester and his significant other Kathi Williams of Auburn; Susan L. Racine and her husband Marc of Auburn; 11 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by two older brothers; George A. Winchester and Leon H. Winchester, Jr.
The family would like to thank Moira and Isaac along with the staff of VNA Hospice for their care and compassion.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the care of Britton-Wallace Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations in Harry's memory may be made to VNA Care Network and Hospice, 120 Thomas St. Worcester 01608 or to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Ct., Boston, MA 02114.
