I met Carl last year at Blakeney Racquet Club. He was a great, fun addition to the Friday night social tennis, and a worthy partner when we teamed together to win league matches. We had numerous discussions and they always came back to how much he enjoyed the grand kids. I will miss him dearly. He was a fine person. Regards, Bill Goss

I have met Carl only once at the courts in Blakney and was taken aback to see his enthusiasm for the game given his age. I am glad I could hit some balls and spend time with him. My condolences to the family.

Dear Steven, I am so very saddened to read of Carl's passing. As a fellow senior in The Reserve, I came to know Carl through our sharing of emails where he educated me on a variety of topics from how to fix my computer to buying stock. But he was most proud of his military service, again sharing anything to do with past and present submarine building and achievements. I will miss him and his wisdom.

Dear Steven, I am very sad to learn of your Dad's death. I am one of his tennis buddies from years ago when we played at Lyme Shores and also in my backyard in Waterford. He was always so positive and shared many an interesting story with us. I did meet you once before at your Mom's funeral but will be unable to attend your Dad's since we are here in Beaufort, SC until the end of April. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. Sincerely, Bruce Elliott
