Daniel R Parker, 52

Douglas, MA - Daniel R Parker passed away peacefully in his sister Joyce's home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Loretta, father Richard and brother Todd Parker.

He is survived by his brother Warren (Bosie) Parker and his wife Brenda of Lincolnton NC; his three sisters, Beverly Ballou, wife of Clayton of Northbridge; Teena Porter, wife of William, and Joyce Martinsen, wife of Roger, all from Douglas; his uncle Robert Parker of Douglas; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his "second father" Michael Oatway of Boca Raton FL with whom he lived for the past twenty-five years; and his beloved dog, Meatball. He also leaves a multitude of friends and colleagues in both MA and FL.

Dan was raised in Douglas moved to Florida and most recently worked as a concrete cutter. He enjoyed all sports but especially baseball, hockey and golfing.

Dan was a singular man, a person with a heart too big for this world, who wouldn't turn away a friend in need or a stranger who would become a friend that he could help. He lived his life by the principle that the best way to make the world better is to do it yourself, and his positive attitude was always evident.

The family would like to thank all who have supported Dan and us through his journey but especially Pops, Dr. Reddy in FL and most recently Milford Hospital and Salmon Hospice Nurse Barbara Deluca.

Please join us for a service celebrating Dan's life at 6 p.m. Friday January 22 at Valley Chapel, 14 Hunter Road, Uxbridge, MA.
