Dean Cariglia Obituary
Holden - Dean J. Cariglia, 52, of Holden, a longtime notable Worcester Criminal Lawyer, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday May 26th, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.
Dean was born in Worcester, July 12, 1968, one of five Children of Martin J. Cariglia, Sr. and Lucy J. (Armenti) Cariglia. Raised in the Burncoat Street neighborhood of Worcester, Dean graduated from St John's High School, earned his bachelor's degree from Umass-Amherst and his Jurist Doctorate in Law from Umass-Dartmouth. He then began to practice law in Worcester, before forming the Law Offices of Dean J. Cariglia PC, serving the needs of clients for the past 25 years.
A devoted husband, father, son and brother, Dean is survived by his wife of 25 years Tiffany L. (Navickas) Cariglia; the two children he loved so much and was so proud of, Arianna L. and Alexander D. Cariglia both of Holden; his parents Martin J. Cariglia, Sr. and Lucy (Armenti) Cariglia of Worcester; brothers, Martin J. Cariglia, Jr and his companion Mary Pace of Dennisport, Joseph Cariglia and his companion, Laura Peterson of Spencer; his sister, Angela Naples and her husband Mark of Rutland; God children, Nick, Joseph, Matthew, Alana and Nicholas; nieces and nephews, Marty IV, Tricia, Perry, Christopher, Cameron, and Gianna; great nieces, Joella and Blakley; his mother in law, Ginger Navickas of Worcester; his father in law, Alan Navickas and his wife Mary of Worcester; Many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and numerous friends. A brother, Perry Cariglia passed away in 1970.
Dean was a member of the Worcester County and Massachusetts Bar Associations. He was an extremely kind, caring, compassionate and generous person, with a heart of gold. In his law practice he took great pride in defending his clients to best of his abilities. In his personal life, family was everything, nothing came before them, his wife and children were his life's inspiration. His parents, brothers, sister, nephews, and nieces held a special bond with him. The holidays, birthdays or special occasions made him proud to be a Cariglia when they all could be together. Dean loved to Fish, and garden and took special pride in his yard especially his flower and vegetable gardens. His yard always being meticulously manicured is where he found joy. His untimely passing leaves a hole in our hearts, but his loving and caring soul will not be forgotten.
Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Tuesday, June 1, from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Wednesday, June 2, at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Rd. Please go directly to church. Burial alongside his brother Perry in the family lot will follow in St John's Cemetery.

Dean the 'Councilor' a person of grace, statesmanship, and compassion.
Really no words can describe when a dear person like Dean, filled with zeal, charisma, kindness and always promoting 'good will to all'.
It was always a joy to be in his company and share and his achievements. Certainly blessed but always generous, humbled and lead with gratitude.

To say I am shocked and saddened by the loss of Dean is an understatement. We all have literally known each other pretty much our entire lives. He always picked up my call if I needed legal advice and always made a point to say HI to my son at Peppercorns and have him send his hellos here to me in NC.
He was and always will be the go to guy and Tiffany, I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
I sadly know all too well what it´s like to lose your spouse.
May his memory be eternal and I can only hope that all the happiness and joy you have shared together over the years will carry you through this most difficult time and days ahead.
