Donna Halterman Obituary
Sturbridge - Donna M. (Guzy) Halterman, 67, of Westwood Dr., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 18th, in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, after a brief illness.
She leaves her husband of 48 years, Steven G. Halterman; her father, John A. Guzy of St. Louis, MO; her daughter, Lisa M. Maramo and her husband Scott of Tolland, CT; her two sons, Adam G. Halterman and his wife Lori Ann of West Boylston and Joel P. Halterman of Sturbridge; her three brothers, Steven Guzy of Kauai, Hawaii, Tony Guzy of St. Louis, MO and Gary Guzy of St. Louis, MO; her three grandchildren, Justin Maramo, Matthew Maramo and Laura Maramo, all of Tolland, CT; and many beloved niece and nephews. She was born in St. Louis, MO the daughter of the late Bettie Lou (Buford) Guzy.
Donna was teacher in the Museum Education Department at the Old Sturbridge Village for 30 years. She was an avid floral gardener and enjoyed sewing. Donna's greatest joy in life was raising her children and helping with her grandchildren.
Calling hours for Donna will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 20th, in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, from 4:00 to 7:00pm. A graveside service in North Cemetery, Sturbridge, will be private.

Having worked with Donna at OSV, she was certainly a special lady who will be missed greatly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Always a smile upon her face, she knew how to see the best in everything. She was genuine, kind and always so incredibly positive. My sympathies to her family - keep your memories close and she will be with you forever.

I am so sorry for your loss. Donna was an amazing friend. I have known Donna ever since I started working at OSV. with her in 1999. She was a kind, knowledgeable,and a lot of fun to be around. I really enjoyed her stories of her family and travels. I also loved the Christmas party she would have every year for her friends at work. I know she loved getting my cheese balls every year. I will miss her so much. May your hearts be comforted to know that she was so loved. Jean
