SHREWSBURY - Doris Charlotte (Larsen) Anderson, 88, died Friday, February 7, 2014, at UMASS Memorial Medical Center University Campus. She leaves her husband of 56 years, Robert K. Anderson, a daughter Jane Marie (Anderson) Dolan, wife of Stephen Dolan of Mashpee, MA; and three granddaughters: Norway Olivia, Sinead Katerina, and Krysta Charlotta - all of Mashpee.

Doris was born in Holden on August 1, 1925, a daughter of A. Marie (Johnson) and Oscar G. Larsen and lived in Holden, MA until her marriage to Robert on September 14, 1957, when she moved to Shrewsbury. Doris graduated from Holden High School, Class of 1943, and Becker College, Class of 1944. She was employed at Norton Company for 13 years as a secretary and then as a clerk for her husband's business until his retirement. She was a charter member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Holden, enjoyed bowling with a group of girls for many years and was a member of SARA, a Swedish Ancestry Research Association.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 3-5 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 346 Shrewsbury St., Holden. Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday February 9, 2014, prior to the funeral in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Memorial donations may be made to the church.
