Doris Ware Obituary

Doris A. Ware, 89

WHITINSVILLE - Doris (Anderson) Ware, 89, of Whitinsville and formerly of Westborough passed away Wed. Dec. 16, 2015 at the home of her daughter.

Doris was employed at Whittaker General Medical in Worcester for many years and had previously worked for Rozefsky's in Westborough for many years.

She was born in 1926 in Watertown, the daughter of the late Axel L. and Bergliot G. (Hansen) Anderson and was a graduate of Watertown High School.

Doris had been a longtime member of the Whitin Community Center in Whitinsville, loved to walk, and was a loyal Boston Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her son, Steven R. Ware of Stockton, CA; a daughter, Debora Behrens of Uxbridge; a daughter-in-law, Nina Ware of Bethlehem, PA; three grandchildren, Christopher J. Ware and his wife Christine of Narberth, PA, Kristie H. Behrens and her husband Joe Wargo of Ashland, and Jackie Bayer and her husband Mike of Douglas; five great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Gabriel, Catherine, Oliver, and Ted, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Alan C. Ware; two brothers; two sisters, and a son-in-law Karl W. Behrens.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday January 2, 2016 from 9:30 - 11 AM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge followed by a Memorial Service at 11 AM in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, South St., Westborough.
