Dorothy Edson Obituary
WESTBOROUGH - Mrs. Dorothy D. (Durner) Edson, formerly of Lexington, died Friday, October 24, 2014. She was 80.
She leaves her husband of 57 years Theodore M. Edson; her children, JoAnne Szymanski and her husband, Brian of Holden, Stephanie Walsh and her husband, Michael of Southborough, Theodore D. Edson and his wife, Debra of Carlsbad, CA and Dianne Iannelli and her husband, David of Franklin and the late Stephen Edward Edson; her grandchildren, Conor, Stephen and Matthew Walsh, Kevin Szymanski, Stephen and Christopher Iannelli, Megan Walsh, Kaitlyn Szymanski, and Madeline and Sophia Edson; her siblings, Anne VanNimwegen of AZ and Gertrude Sherman of NJ and the late Edward W. Durner Jr; also survived by nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Dorothy's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, October 28th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Memorials in her name may be made to Harry Holt Orphanages, Holt Int'l, P.O. Box 2880, Eugene, Oregon 97402.
