Doug Carpenter Obituary

Doug Carpenter, 68

HUBBARDSTON - Doug Carpenter, 68 of Hubbardston, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 28, 2014, after a short but aggressive illness. He was the beloved husband of Carol Carpenter for 47 years.

Doug is also survived by his son, Brian Carpenter and his wife, Jody of Paxton; his daughter, Jennifer Lepore and her husband, Tony of Hubbardston; ten grandchildren; his sister, Sally Pennoyer and her husband, Ray of Trumbull, CT; his brother, Gary Carpenter and his wife, Joan of Milton, DE; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He worked in corporate information management for many years at Digital Equipment Corporation and recently worked for Geist Global. Doug was an avid golfer and water skier. Doug loved his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and lived the life he professed.

The family wishes to thank the nursing, support staff and physicians at Mass General Hospital for the excellent compassionate care given to Doug.

A funeral service honoring Doug's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 5 at Heritage Bible Chapel, 182 Brooks Station Road, Princeton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doug's name to Mass General Hospital, c/o MGH Development Office, 100 Cambridge Street, Suite 1310, Boston, MA 02114, designating 9th Floor, Lunder Cancer Center, on the check memo line.
