Edward Duchnowski Obituary

Edward T. "Chip" Duchnowski, 70

Clinton - Edward T. "Chip" Duchnowski, 70, died Thursday, April 19, 2018, in The Worcester Health Center, Worcester, after a brief illness.

He leaves a brother, George W. Duchnowski of Clinton; two sisters: Deborah Poulin of Fairfield, ME and Madelyn M. Grady of Clinton; several nieces, nephews, and their families.

Chip was born and raised in Clinton, son of the late Edward T. and Theresa A. (Fitzgerald) Duchnowski. He attended local schools, and was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War.

After returning from the service, Chip began a life-long career as a self-employed painting contractor. Over the years, his customers became his close friends, and part of the circle that he was always looking out for, and going out of his way to help. He was a caregiver in the truest sense.

A member of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish, he was devoted to his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Chip's funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Clinton Hospital, 201 Highland St., Clinton, MA 01510.
