Edward Keenan Obituary

Edward B. Keenan, 84

Grafton - Edward B. Keenan, 84, passed away February 8, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He leaves his loving wife of 53 years, Carol (Parlin) Keenan, his son Edward Keenan, Jr. and his wife Pat and daughter Kelly Rynearson and her husband David, his grandchildren Rachel and Timothy Rynearson and sister Loretta Flagg. Ed was born January 12, 1937 in Worcester, son of the late Mildred (Bickford) and Edward L. Keenan. He grew up on Lincoln Street and was a graduate of Boys Trade High School where he learned welding that would become his life's work for more than 40 years primarily at Wyman Gordon Co. in Grafton and then for a time as a teacher part time during his retirement. Ed was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Delisle Goulet Post 92 in Grafton. Ed was happiest spending time and traveling with his wife Carol and of course enjoying a round of golf with friends as he was a member of several golf leagues over the years. A special thank you to all of Ed's friends, especially Bruce, Donna, Randy and Rene. Gathering at the funeral home for Ed will be private. However, there is a prayer service available by livestream to watch on Friday February 12th at 12pm by following the link at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/66970296. During these unprecedented times, the family wants all to know that remembering Ed from afar is just as meaningful as being present at his services. Your health and safety is of their utmost concern. Please honor Ed with memorial donations in lieu of flowers to two causes that were meaningful to him in St. Jude Hospital at www.stjude.org or Tunnels2Towers at www.Tunnels2Towers.org. A Book of Memories to share a message or story with Ed's family is available online at:
