Florence Eknoian Obituary
WORCESTER - Florence (Marsoobian) Eknoian, 102 passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in the Meadows of Leicester.
Her husband, Charles J. Eknoian died in 1967. She leaves a son, Peter G. Eknoian and his wife LuAnn of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren; nine-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A daughter, Charlene Millett and her husband Ronald, her siblings, Jack Marsoobian, Gladys Maghakian, Elsie Frankian and Alice Marsoobian predeceased her. She was born in Pattison, NJ daughter of George "Kevork" and Gadar (Vorparian) Marsoobian and graduated from Commerce High School.
She was a long time member of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, its choir and ladies guild. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years. Trips to the casino for black jack and poker replaced bowling in later years and she was an avid Red Sox fan. Cooking for family and church gave her great joy but her greatest joy were her family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all those at the Meadows for the wonderful care given to Florence.
A Visiting Hour will be held Saturday, February 15 from 8:30 to 9:30am in Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. followed by a Funeral Service at 10am in Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Florence's church, a place she so loved.

Dear Tracey and family,
We are sorry for your loss and hope to comfort you by saying she was an extraordinary and special person full of love for her family and friends. I remember her working the jewelry counter at the Mart in the 60s, baking choreg at church events, debate the Red Sox vs Yankees and admit to hoisting her up on a blackjack stool with all eyes on her! Visiting her at the Meadows just last month with Mom Sue and running into you was meant to be. We are all blessed to have her in our lives. May she rest in peace. Sincerely,

Dear Peter and Family Saddened to hear of cousin Florence's passing. My dad, Bill Depoian, and she we're cousins on the Marsoobian side. My grandmother and George Marsoobian were step-siblings. I fondly remember everyone at 36 Stebbins including your dad who was our choir director. My mom, Aida, worked closely with Florence at the church for over 50 years. I loved Charlene and as a younger girl I emulated her. Our family connections run long and deep. Deepest sympathies to you all. May Florence Rest In Peace.

Although it's been ages since I've been to Worcester, I have fondest memories of all our relatives who lived at 36 Stebbins St. Our condolences to Peter and his family, and Charlene's children. May God bless Aunt Florence's soul.

love all my Marsoobian Cousins, but Florence was very special to me. Time around the dinner table the years I lived on East Cost with great food coffee and then cards. Life doesn't get any better than that. She will never be forgotten by anyone her life touched.
