Francis Sullivan Obituary
WORCESTER - Francis P. Sullivan, 85, of Worcester, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at the West Side House, Worcester.
Francis was born in Worcester, son of the late Jeremiah D. and Nellie (Kiley) Sullivan. His sister Mary E. O'Connor died in 2003.
Francis was a disabled veteran of the Korean War.
Many years ago, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a devoted fan of Holy Cross College sports teams.
Francis was a fixture on Main St. in downtown Worcester for many years. His dapper style and engaging smile made him many friends when Main St. was a bustling center of activity. His gentle way and happy disposition stayed with him right through to his last home at the West Side House.
Francis leaves nieces and nephews.
The funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 5 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 600 Cambridge St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is directing arrangements.
