George Geotis Obituary

George Geotis, 73, of North Port, formerly of Dudley, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He leaves his wife of 52 years, Patricia (Rock) Geotis, two sons, Paul D. Geotis and his wife Ramona of Woodstock, CT, and Peter J. Geotis and his partner Michael LaChance of Salem, New Hampshire. Two grandchildren, Joseph Geotis and Sarah Gottlieb and one great grandchild, Valentina Geotis. He also leaves two sisters, Magdalene Bandouveres of Burlington, MA and Irene Kiritsis of Tampa, FL, and one sister-in-law, Terri Rock of Beverly Hills, FL.

George was born in Dudley, son of Joseph V. and Athena Geotis and lived in Dudley most of his life, prior to moving to Florida.

George owned the former Dudley Lincoln-Mercury in Dudley receiving numerous awards and accolades from Ford Motor Co., including several President Awards. He was well respected by his peers within the business and dealership community.

He was a life long member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Webster and active in the Greek Orthodox Church in Florida.

He was a member of the Webster Lodge of Masons, and the former Webster Lodge of Elks. He was an avid golfer and sports fan. He especially loved to spend time with family and friends. George will be missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.

A Memorial Service will be held at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Lake Parkway, Webster, MA. at 11 AM on Saturday, August 21, 2010.

There are no calling hours. Burial will be private in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
