What business, especially today, was run by someone so kind, nice, calm and gentle? A one-of-a-kind experience and store. A one in a million kind of person in Jerry. A true gentleman, he will be missed, but is reaping his reward for his service here. God bless him and his family.

A little piece of my life just left me. I have been a customer of Jerry's since 1970. He was one of a kind, a neat guy. I had to plan 20 minutes for a trip to the store... 5 minutes to get what I came for and 15 minutes of friendly banter.

Gerry was a real community minded store owner. When I would ask for a donation for our Juvenile Diabetes golf tournnment he would always donate a four- step lawn treatment. His support for the JDRF would support me as well, knowing others care to hope for a cure.
Rest in peace neighbor.

How sad to hear this news of the passing of such a beloved man. Though it has been many years since I visited Jerry's Hardware Store and spoke to the wonderful owner, I clearly recall his kindness and helpfulness... no matter what questions or concerns I had. During mid-May I was briefly in West Boylston and glanced at the store as we drove by it. It was always a comfort to me, knowing that store was still there with that very sweet man to help in any way possible. Jerry was a deeply caring person, very much like Spag's as some have mentioned. His dedicated service to all and to my beloved hometown will always be cherished. Job well done!! May God bless and bring comfort and peace to his loved ones.

To the LaComfora family and my dear friends at the hardware store: I was so sorry to hear the loss of wonderful man. Though words seem so small in times like these, keep in mind that: 1) he was loved and cherished by many who share your grief; and 2) keep your hearts and minds open because Jerry will forever be us. As I recall, I was the only person that Jerry hired and fired 3 times and still were amazing friends.

What a thoughtful and kind gentleman who truly made purchasing hardware a valued experience.
We have always appreciated his pertinent store signs reminding us of lime time, grubs, rock salt, wood pellets and the bargain of 3 keys for a dollar.
We will miss Jerry's presence with his team member Tom at his store that remains the last bastion for customer service with a Spag's mentality.
