Howard Ferguson Obituary
CHARLTON - Howard "Howie" Taft Ferguson, Jr., passed away on July 1, 2017 surrounded by his family. Those who loved him accepted his penchant for frugality; so this will be brief. A resident of Charlton, MA then the of Brookfields, he was: a son, a brother, a partner, a father, a grandfather, an uncle, a political organizer, a Navy sailor, a Freemason, a democrat, Norton Company engineer, a Selectman, First Responder, Policeman, volunteer, hunter, fisherman, jokester, race car driver, horse trainer, a mentor and a friend. A graveside service will be held on July 22, 2017 at 10:00AM in Union Cemetery at the corner of Rte 20 and Rte 169 in Charlton followed by a memorial gathering at The Union Chapel at Podunk, 750 Podunk Road, East Brookfield from 11am to 1pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Development Office Shriners Hospitals for Children - Springfield, 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104. Pillsbury Funeral Home, 44 Gilbert St. North Brookfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Though I didn't know Uncle Howie well, I'm so saddened by his loss. All my love to his dearest ones as the hard days pass and as pain is slowly lessened. I hope to know him better someday when I get there to be with my dad, and my Ga... though time can't erase the emptiness of loss, love lives on forever until we meet again. Praying for God's comfort to surround his loved ones, in knowing that one day, we will be reunited with those who have taken this path before us. Love you all, Kor
