Jan Janusz, 87

Northampton - Jan Janusz, 87, of State St passed away on Monday, Aug. 1, 2016 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Grodzisko Gorne, Poland December 4, 1928 he was the son of the late Jozef and Maria (Majkut) Janusz. He attended schools in Poland and worked on a farm until moving to the United States in 1969. He worked as a machine operator at the Packaging Corporation of America for many years until retiring. He leaves his sons; Stanislaw Janusz and his longtime companion Halina of Dudley, Ma and Mieczyslaw Janusz of Poland; his daughter Czeslawa Stasko of Southampton, and his brother-in-law Gunter Beijer and his wife; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Jan Janusz Jr, his sister Aniela Beijer; and his wife Kazimiera (Wielis) Janusz. A Calling Hour will be held Saturday Aug 6th at the Czelusniak Funeral Home, 173 North St, Northampton, Ma 01060, from 9:00 am to 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at St Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital, 516 Carew St, Springfield Ma, 01104 or to Hospice of Cooley Dickinson, 168 Industrial Drive, Northampton, Ma. 01060
