Mrs McCurdy had more energy than anyone. She always seemed happy and loveing. You know you lived a good life if you lived like Mrs McCurdy.

Janice & I were best friends from when we were little girls playing with the many cats and kittens at our house in Natrona. We remained friends throughout her life even thought we had moved far away from one another as adults. I will always be grateful for the wonderful memories we shared and for the fact that she was there for me when my Mom died in 1988 and that I just happened to be back home in PA when her Dad died as well.
Fortunately I even got to meet her beautiful daughter Sharon and the grandchildren Jessica & Douglas in 1999 when I came out to MA for a quick visit. Janice and Dave also had a chance to come visit us at our beach house in Federal Way and so she met my grandhildren as well. I only regret that we never had the opportunity to share many more little moments of our lives; however, she was always such a big part of my life and I will remember her as the sister I never had.
May GOD hold all of her family in the palm of HIS HAND through their loss.

I am very sorry for your loss which is particularly tragic as it is so soon after the passing of Sharon. I hope the thought that they have been reunited provides some comfort.

Jan, You are the best of the best teachers at Algonquin. You were always there for your students and peers. You supported every initiative that supported innovation and best practices for the children that you served. I hope that your spirit visits every new teacher that comes along. I valued your friendship and support throughout our years together at Algonquin. My love an sympathy to your family and other friends. Jean Bean

Dave, i am so sorry this sad thing had to happen. We all love Jan and she will always be remembered. She was my at home auntie. i never really had anyone else around that i could call family, except for the both of you. i remember when we were just kids my brother and i would ride our bikes down the road and over small jumps. Jan came out to watch, and ended up offering your driveway to us so we could get a better inclination. She sat there for hours just watching us. I loved her. she would bring us food when we were sick and always be around to give advice and just be a great influence on anyone around her. may she rest in peace.

Dr. McCurdy & Family-
My deepest condolences to all of you! I will forever remember Mrs. McCurdy's warm smile, kind eyes and gentle way. She was an extrodinary teacher, coach and friend who touched the lives of generations at Algonquin Regional HS.
Mrs. McCurdy showed me how to be a champion on the tennis court and a champion in life! For this, I will be eternally grateful.
She will be missed by many, and always remembered with a smile!
