It has taken me some time to gather my thoughts since losing my mother only a week after your passing, Jean, but I am, at last, here to pay tribute to a fine, fine lady. As Kathy's college roommate, you were always so accepting, gracious, hospitable, and generous to me. I loved going to see you in Lunenburg and eating your wonderful Yorkshire Pudding. Always so very interesting and funny, you and Fred treated me like I was your own. I treasure the memories of both of you. You will be greatly missed, but the legacy of kindness, thoughtfulness, and compassion will live on forever in the deeds of the wonderful children that you nurtured into adulthood.

Kathy and family...am saddened to learn of Jean's passing. She was an important part of Lunenburg and left a great legacy of what it means to be a citizen and community activist. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. My most sincere condolences.

Kathy and Ricky I share in your sorrow, your Mom was a special person. I will always remember our family gatherings at your home and at Rye. She will always be with us in our memories and I hope this is what will sustain you at this time.
