I remember vividly the morning you were born Chucky at 5:10 A.M. Then, 5 days later taking you home and beginning a journey I will cherish always. You know, your children aren't supposed to go before you, but sometime God has a different plan. Your suffering is over and you can rest in peace with Dad. I will always love you and we will be together again. Mom

Chuckie was a great guy and a great umpire. He did 100's of Uxbridge ball games for kids who were not "athletes" but enjoyed playing the game. I hope a lot of the kids remember him for being there for them.
I know he is upstairs making the man laugh.

My deepest sympathy to Chuckie's family. I'll never forget all the laughs and yes, sometimes arguements with him umpiring games at Uxbridge baseball. Even when we disagreed, we laughed after. Chuckie cared deeply for the kids and the game. I remember him catching warmup pitches for a little league all star game because the catcher wasn't geared up all the way. You never, ever see an umpire do that. That was Chuckie. He cared. Rest in Peace buddy.

My deepest sympathies to the Palmieri family. I had the good fortune of meeting Chuckie a few years ago when we umpired some high school baseball games together. He epitomized what officiating is all about -- he did it for the kids and was good at what he did. More importantly, he was a good person who will be sorely missed by many.
