I had only known Johnny for about 6 months. I bowl on Tuesdays and I was shocked to learn of his death as I was one of the last people he spoke to before he passed last Tuesday. It's sad to me because he had a nice personality and we shared some good laughs. He should be remembered for treating everyone with Respect and Friendliness. He was also an amazing bowler. My next strike is for you big man!

I still cannot believe John is gone. He was a gentle soul and a fine human being. He made going to the bowling alley a pleasure - folks stopped just to see him and not even pick up a bowling ball. He always had a smile and a good word to say. He was funny every year peddling his tournament tickets - "You getting in this week?" he'd ask. "You could go to Vegas and win money." John's with my husband and his friend, Billy now; and at peace. He will be sorely missed.

Terrible news, i knew john for years and played pool with him at amf. He always acted professionally and with the utmost respect for him and others. I would try to make it monday but my current assigment in the army prohibits me from doing so. We will miss you john. My condolences go out to the whole Broadbent family.
