So sorry to the family. We had the privilege of getting to know Johnny through Katie Healey, our daughter in law. We saw him on certain occasions, and always at Christmas. A very nice man. You will be missed. RIP. Barbara and Ken Healey

John was the most caring, compassionate man... always thought of others before himself. Had the most amazing attitude with all that he was going through. Was such an inspiration and will be missed every day

My thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends. I lived down the road on West Mountain street as a young kid growing up and remember a few of those baseball games that all the kids in the neighborhood played. He was quite the athlete!
Very sad to here of his passing.

It's just not possible that any of us that grew up on Maravista Road could grow old much less not be here anymore. I remember John's dad always telling him to bat left-handed when we would play Wiffle ball in his yard. Yankee fans to the core. Mickey Mantle could hit from both sides of the plate.
Other stories I'll leave untold but they were great to experience.

Sorry for your loss to the Mcloughlin family.--I remember every time I got my monthly crew cut John would yell across the street, "Hey Skinhead!" Always made me laugh.

I moved to Meriden, Ct on November 16, 2014 and into a Daymark House. I met John soon after. From the moment we met he has been a great friend to me. John had more confidence in me than I had in myself back then and he's been an amazing inspiration in my life and recovery. I'm deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I feel blessed to have known him and that I had the opportunity to know such a caring man. My heart n prayers go out to his family. May he rest in peace with Our Lord N Savior. Amen

I grew up 2 houses down from Johnny on Maravista. Same age so same classes until he went to St. Peter's and I went to NDA. Always loved him and his infectious smile and sense of humor. It is so sad to read of his passing. Our time at Denholms, thumbing to Friendly's at Main South and his loving nickname for me, which was attributed to my German heritage, are memories that I will always treasure. Condolences to his family and friends. He was a sweety.

He was a fine athlete from the old neighborhood on Maravista Road, as well as a fine human being. Very hard to believe he is gone. My condolences to "Mikey" and to all the rest of his family.
