Ted, Diane, Joe, Joan: I have vivid memories of your mother from my childhood in the Wayne Street neighborhood. She always had an encouraging word for young people. In recent years, I was glad to see her during my visits home, usually at Our Lady of the Angels Church. Her brisk step, high energy, ready smile, and engaging personality showed little change over the years. She seemed ageless. She was immensely proud of all of you, yet she showed genuine interest in others, including my big family. I will remember her for her warmth, for her good-humored greetings, for her keen intelligence, and for her devotion to family, friends, neighbors, and church. Hers is a life to be celebrated.

I will always treasure the memories of Babci as my neighbor. She was warm and welcoming and an invitation to sit on the porch always made me feel special. Aly loved playing her her yard with her grandchildren. My thoughts are prayers are with the Jakubiak's.

Babci was wonderful neighbor. Always smiling. I last spoke to her in January when I met her at the polls for the special election in Mass. A snowy day, yet at her age she made sure to vote - she was an inspiration. I always admired her interest in education (especially for women). The neighborhood will miss seeing the ladies on her back porch. I enjoyed the few times I was able to join them. She was a lovely person and will be missed.

Josephine(babci) Jakubiak was a very loving person. Always made friends feel like family. Ready anytime for company and would always have cookies or cake ready. She was everyones Babci. My children Bruce and Dan remember playing in the yard and her always telling them to come in and have something to eat and drink.. And her apple cake was just out of this world. She will be missed greatly by family and friends. The porch was a great meeting place for neighbors to gather and enjoy the friendly conversations. Babci we will miss you very much. But your memories will live on in our hearts forever. Tammy , Bruce Dasho and Boys
