Kenneth Thibault Obituary

Kenneth L. Thibault, 64, of Fiskdale, formerly of Oxford, died Thursday, December 31 at The Hermitage, Worcester.

He leaves a brother, Bernard Thibault and his wife Barbarann of Worcester; a niece, Dr. Eloise Woodruff and her husband Christopher of Suffolk, Virginia; a great-niece, Olivia Woodruff; and his caregiver, Claire D. Constantin. He was born in Worcester, son of Bernard E. and Lillian A. (LaFlamme) Thibault, and was a graduate of the Boston School for the Deaf in Randolph and the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford, CT.

Kenneth was a welder at Allied Steel. He was a member, past president and treasurer of the Worcester Deaf Club. He was a member and past president of the Central Mass Deaf Senior Citizens Center. He played football and wrestled in high school.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the VNA Hospice, the nurses at The Hermitage, and the American Sign Language Interpreters.

The funeral will be held Saturday, January 23, with a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. John's Church, 44 Temple St. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bishop Harrington Soup Kitchen, 44 Temple St, Worcester, MA 01604 or the VNA Care Network & Hospice, Development Office, 5 Federal St., Danvers, MA 01923.

Kenneth was a good man. He liked the NY Jets. We played on same basketball teams and had good times playing cards in Worcester Deaf Club on Fridays. Will miss him.
