Kevin P. Hunt, 40

Shrewsbury - With deepest sorrow, we announce that Kevin Patrick Hunt, 40, our beloved son, father, brother, uncle, nephew and friend passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 10, 2021.

Kevin was born in Rochester, NH on March 26, 1981. In 1989, he and his family moved to Shrewsbury where he attended Shrewsbury schools and excelled in many sports at Shrewsbury High School. He was most passionate about hockey and scored the game winning goal in the 1999 Massachusetts High School Hockey State Championship game. He continued his education and hockey career at Worcester State College, graduating with a degree in Business Administration.

Kevin had a very successful career in medical sales and enjoyed his career very much. He continued to be active in hockey and golf, as well as an avid Boston sports fan. Kevin and his former wife, Kristal (Frick) Hunt of Auburn, are the proud parents of two beautiful children, Chase and Annabelle Hunt of Auburn.

Kevin's true passion was his incredible love and devotion to his two children. They were the love of his life and he was theirs. He was a truly devoted and loving father to his children.

Kevin was a gentle, thoughtful, and loving man who was kind to everyone he met. His infectious smile and easy going nature lit up a room when he entered. He loved his family deeply and cherished his time together with them. He will be missed deeply by his parents, Kevin M. and Maurya F. (Danahy) Hunt of Shrewsbury; his two sisters Erin K. Duffy and her husband Morgan of Shrewsbury, Shannon M. Cafaro and her spouse Guylyn of Littleton, nieces and nephews; Hayden, Bridjet, and Colin Duffy, Lucy and Luca Cafaro. He will also be deeply missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Chiampa Funeral Home ~ 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury Center on Sunday, September 19, 2021, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 10:00 am. at St. Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross Street, Boylston. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. In keeping with the Covid-19 guidelines, all attendees are kindly asked to wear face coverings and practice social distancing while at the funeral home, church and cemetery.
