If we could bring you back again,
For one more hour or day,
We’d express all our unspoken love;
We’d have countless things to say.

If we could bring you back again,
We’d say we treasured you,
And that your presence in our lives
Meant more than we ever knew.

If we could bring you back again,
To tell you what we should,
You’d know how much we miss you now,
And if we could, we would.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived
okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here
is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you
every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up
and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were
gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.

There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for
me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's
chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life
on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not
be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But
one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a
time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will
give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day
was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the
way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick
him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in
your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember
you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Kyle, It's taken so long to get here, I don't know what to write. Everyones's heart is broken since he took you away that night. Everything has changed now, things will never be the same...Except our love for you, and knowing we'll see you again. I miss you Godson with all my heart & soul and will think of you every day until my days of old. It's then again I'll see you and wrap you in my arms, and tell you all the stories you've missed while you were gone. Your memory will live through us all until we meet again.
If only I could bring brownies to heaven....
Love & Miss you! See you in my dreams....
Love always & forever,

We feel lucky to have known and loved Kyle. There will always be thoughts and memories of all of the crazy times that Mike and Kyle shared. Although he was taken far too soon, we feel that he had such a wonderful, happy life with more than anyone could ask for.

He had such a loving and dedicated family. At every event, Kyle was appreciated and celebrated by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. He had loyal, caring, lifelong friends. Kyle will always be carried in the hearts of Mike and the guys, whenever they are together. When they laugh again, Kyle's laughter will remain with them. He was loved and appreciated at school and on all of his teams. He had the love of his brother Bryce and will continue to remain with him throughout his life. Kyle had deep love from his mom and dad. He could not have asked for better parents. He was the type of person he was because of the guidance of his parents. Although it is unfair that he is gone from us now, we will always keep him with us in our hearts. Our hearts are broken with you and we hope that you understand that we are never going to forget Kyle and that we will always be here for you.

With love,

Dear Mr and Mrs Gavin and Bryce

I am so sorry for your loss. Kyle was my best friend and I will always miss him. He must have been assigned a very special job from God to be called so soon. I will miss the funny times that we had like when he named himself Vanilla Double G. I could always trust Kyle. He would always be there to help me out with problems. I am going to dedicate this year in sports and in schoolwork to Kyle.
I will always be here for Bryce. You were great parents to have raised such a friendly, respectful, nice child.

Thank you for giving me the chance to be his friend.

Dear Gavin Family,
From all of the Germain Family we wish to extend our heart felt condolences to the loss of Kyle. We were so sorry to hear about his passing when we read the Sunday paper. We really didnt know him that well but his grandmother was always praising Kyle whenever I talked to her. I know he's looking down on everyone and smiling knowing that there are so many people that cared for him.
I know that time will heal the empty place in your hearts and you'll all smile again remembering what a loving child Kyle was.

Kyle is gone, too soon
Didn’t even clean his room
Sometimes, life’s not fair

Room cleaned by Brother Bryce
Great job, neat & nice
Sometimes, life’s not fair

On the 4th watched fireworks
Unaware an angel lurks
Sometimes, life’s not fair

Ate watermelon and hot dog
Slowly came the creeping fog
Sometimes, life’s not fair

Didn’t sit on Santa’s lap
Smiled and tipped his cap
Sometimes, life’s not fair

Baseball, football, basketball
Didn’t hear the umpire’s call
Sometimes, life’s not fair

Referee and umpire shout
All Star, you’re out, you’re out
Sometimes, life’s not fair

You’ll never be forgotten

5
The number of years I was here when my cousin Kyle was born.

12
The number of years we had together before it was time to say goodbye.

8
The number of inches taller than me that Kyle is.

20 (or more)
The number of points Kyle would be beating me by when we played NCAA basketball.

100
The percentage of times he would beat me at any game we played. Let’s keep that a secret though.

I figured that no day involving Kyle would be complete without statistics.

I chose to wear this jersey during what I’m about to say because I felt it would give me strength. Kyle gave me this jersey to wear a few times when I played football with him. Every time I saw this jersey in my drawer, I got my imagination going. I thought of a Dallas Cowboys jersey reading “Gavin” on the back of it.

I want everyone to take a second to think of those closest to you. Look left to right, front and back, and ask yourself this – “When is the last time I told them how much I love them?”

In the blink of an eye, someone could be gone. Today, we fully see and understand the true meaning of that.

However, I didn’t come up here to make people cry. I came up to remind everyone to forget about the last time we saw him. Forget about all of that.

I came to remind everyone to think of all the good times we’ve all shared with Kyle. Remember him as the biggest, happiest kid around.

To Dan, Cheryl, and Bryce:
We will pull through this. Everyone in this building is here for you and we all love you more than you could ever imagine. I can’t put into words the amount of courage and strength it is going to take to make it through this, but we will prevail.

All of us, together.

Anyone here would be more than willing to answer your phone call at any hour. You want to call to talk? We’ll listen. You’re craving some Cheetos at 2 AM? I’ll have them there in 10 minutes.

Many of us don’t understand what you’re going through but we are here to be your leaning post when you feel you just can’t hold yourself up alone. I love the three of you very much. We all do. We won’t let this break us down.

Infinity
The number of times Kyle put a smile on my face.

Unmeasurable
The amount of people Kyle touched, inspired, loved and was loved by in his time with us.

In the years after, it is my hope that we remember him as he would want us to remember him: happy. The tears following today’s should be of joy. They should be from laughing so hard about the stories we have to tell and the memories he has forever left with us. I know he’s crying right now, but his tears are from laughing at all of us dressed up for him. No matter what, I will always remember Kyle as my little cousin. As much as he would hate to hear that. He will always remain in two places: In my heart, and in the Hall of Fame.
