Leslie Krosoczka Obituary

Leslie A. Krosoczka, 62

WORCESTER - Leslie Ann Krosoczka was born in Worcester, MA, on January 19, 1955. Her fifty-year battle with addiction ended with a fatal overdose on the evening of Thursday, March 23, 2017.

Leslie spent several years incarcerated and in rehabilitation centers. Through the support of her family, she took up work as a machinist at Sem-Tec, Inc. in Worcester. While Leslie caused her family much pain and heartbreak throughout her life, she found redemption in the care she gave her ailing father, Joseph D. Krosoczka, in his final years of life.

Leslie leaves behind her only son, Jarrett J. Krosoczka. While she was incapable of providing him with a stable home, she instilled in him a passion for creating art. More importantly, she taught him to have no inhibitions in expressing affection for loved ones. She would end correspondence to her son with a cartoon with outstretched arms saying, "I love you this much."

Leslie also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Gina M. Krosoczka, and three grandchildren, Zoe, Lucia and Xavier. Leslie is also survived by her siblings, Stephen A. Krosoczka, Lynn A. Boyle and Holly A. O'Neil. Leslie was very proud of who her younger brother and sisters grew to be and she adored their children.

Leslie was predeceased by her parents, Joseph D. and Shirley R. Krosoczka, her older brother, Joseph M. Krosoczka, and her longtime companion, Jose Torres.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Leslie's name to the Joseph and Shirley Krosoczka Memorial Youth Art Scholarships at the Worcester Art Museum. A private ceremony for family was held at O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME.

Leslie, I didn't even know you were gone. I'll always treasure the memories of our friendship and the fun we had when we were young teenage girls, before addiction took over and changed everything. I'll never have a chance to tell you how much you meant to me, how much I missed you over all these years but I'm glad you are finally at peace. Till we meet again Lelly Kalaka... Love, Lee Ann

Sorry for your loss. What a lovely woman her picture depicts, and what a sad struggle she has been through. Happily she had a wonderful son, daughter in law and was able to know her grandchildren.

There is a sacredness
in tears.
They are not the mark
of weakness,
but of power.

They speak more eloquently than
ten thousand tongues.
They are messengers of
overwhelming grief ...
and unforgetable love.

May your tears speak to your heart
and help you all to heal at this time
of grief.

In deepest sympathy.
