Lilyan Gordon Obituary
Shrewsbury - Lilyan (Zandan) Gordon, 94, of Shrewsbury died on Monday, January 5th in Christopher House in Worcester. Her husband, Leo Gordon, died in 2002.
She leaves a daughter, Judi, wife of Dennis Goodwin of Shrewsbury, and her grandchildren, Richard Goodwin of Framingham, Michael Goodwin and his wife, Michelle of Upton, and Michelle Goodwin of Framingham; five great-grandchildren, Kerri, Stephanie, Riley, Stanley, and Stacey Goodwin.
She was born in Boston a daughter of Julius and Yetta (Wolcofsky) Zandan and had lived in Shrewsbury since 2001, after living in Worcester for 36 years. She was a shoe salesperson for Denholm's and Marcus' for many years, retiring many years ago. She was a member of Congregation B'Nai Shalom of Westborough. She was an avid Mahjong player.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11AM ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 8TH IN CONGREGATION B'NAI SHALOM, 117 EAST MAIN STREET IN WESTBOROUGH UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in Holy Society Cemetery in Leicester.
Memorial Observance will be held at the residence of Judi and Dennis Goodwin, 65 Washington Street, Shrewsbury thru 8:00PM on Thursday, January 8th, 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM on Friday, January 9th, and 5:00PM to 9:00PM on Saturday, January 10th.
Memorial Contributions may be made to American Lung Association, 55 West Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601.

So sorry that Mom's struggle was so difficult but know that her suffering ended with eternal peace and reward. My mom and I remember how she would work so diligently to find us good fitting, comfortable and stylish shoe in Marcus Co, in spite of our difficult shoe size. She would not let us leave the store until we were happy, laughing, and having fun with her. We will always be grateful and will have fond memories of her.
