Lisa Haynes Obituary

Lisa Ann Haynes, 52

LEICESTER - Lisa Ann Haynes, 52, formerly of 1671 Main St. passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 24 at St. Mary Health care center on Queen St. in Worcester after a long and courageous battle with lung disease.

She leaves her daughter, Nicole M. Haynes of Rochdale; her mother, Beverly J. (Berryman) Haynes of Leicester; a sister, Diane E. Gosselin, her husband Brian along with their two children who Lisa adored, Alexis E. and Nicholas S. Gosselin from Spencer; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Lisa was predeceased by her father, Ralph W. Haynes in 1990 and her brother, Stephen W. Haynes in 1973.

Lisa was born in Worcester and graduated from Leicester High School in 1982, and then she spent many years working in various manufacturing companies until she became ill. Aside from spending time with her family, Lisa had many hobbies, including gardening, collecting coins, and making crafts. Lisa was especially good at anything involving mechanics and could put anything together, whether it was a puzzle or something electronic. Lisa had an incredible sense of humor and a contagious laugh. She will be forever missed by those who love her.

The family would like to thank the staff on the fifth floor at St. Mary Healthcare on Queen St. in Worcester and the VNA of Worcester for the exceptional care and compassion they provided Lisa in her final months. The family would also like to thank the Leicester Police Department for going above and beyond to assist Lisa during her illness.

Per Lisa's request, following cremation, a Graveside Service will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, 208 Pine St, Leicester, at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 30. There are no other services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lisa's name may be made to the Leicester Police Department, 90 South Main St. Leicester, MA 01524, and checks made payable to the Town of Leicester for the much needed use of body cameras for the officers' personal protection.

The MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St. Leicester is directing arrangements.

Lisa & I were 10 years apart so when I was 8 & she was 18 I wasn't to cool I was probably more like a pest, but as we became older the closer we became, especially once my daughter Alexis was born, once it was time for me to return to work & Alexis was going to a home daycare we kept her there for 1 week & decided this was not for us, so I called Lisa & said how about if you quit your job we will pay you to watch Alexis she said let me think about it & I will call you back soon, well she called back with-in 10 minutes & said ok I gave my notice I can start Monday & shortly after that Nick was born & she didn't think twice & said I will watch them both & she loved & enjoyed every minute of it just as the kids did. Lisa was just as sad as I was once they started kindergarten, in fact once the doctors told Lisa her lungs were becoming worse the first thing she said to me is "this is ridiculous I'm not going to see the kids grow up" & with in the past month my mother told her it was ok to go & she awoke & said "I can't there stopping me & my mother asked her who is stopping you & she responded you know the kids". No matter how sick Lisa was she would always worry about how the rest of the family was not even stop & think about herself. She was a big part of our family & we will love & miss her always. Until we meet again big sister.
Love Always your sister,
Diane

Auntie, you have suffered long enough, you were brave strong & tough. The battle you fought was long & hard, it was ok auntie to let go & be with God. It has hurt all of us when you left that day, it left me broken hearted with nothing to say I don't want to be selfish say please don't leave because I did not want to hurt or grieve. I know in my heart you are in a better place but I swear I'm going to miss your smiling face I'm going to miss the talks we would have & the stories I would tell that would make you laugh. God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be he wrapped his arms around you & whispered come to me you didn't deserve what you went through so he gave you needed rest Gods garden must be beautiful he only takes the best.
I love you always Auntie

My Sister In Heaven
I sit here & ponder how very much I'd like to talk with you today. There are so many things that we didn't get to say I know how much you love me & how much I love you & each time that I think of you I know you'll miss me too. An angel came & took you by the hand & said your place was ready in heaven far above & you had to leave behind all those you dearly loved you had so much to live for you had so much to do it still seems impossible that God was taking you he saw the road was getting rough & the hills were hard to climb so he closed your weary eyelids & whispered peace be thine & though your life on earth is past in heaven it starts a new you'll live for all eternity just as God has promised you & though you've walked through heavens gate we are never far apart for every time I think of you you're right here deep within my heart.
Love your sister, Diane

From when I was a newborn my aunt has always been their for me. It all started when my parents went to work every morning and she watched me and my brother nick. My aunt and I had so many great memories that are unforgettable. She was a very caring and loving person, and will be missed by many. Every time I was with her she had a laugh that can not be replaced. I always loved spending time with her because she always put a huge smile across my face, we had some great laughs. I hated seeing her suffer everyday, but deep down inside I know that she is in a better place and God is taking good care of her, and that makes me feel happy inside. As I continue to grow I know you will be watching down over me every step of the way. You will always have a place in my heart. I love you forever aunty, fly high.

No mother should ever have to bury, their child. This is so sad. Always remember that love never dies. Your daughter, Lisa is with you every second, of everyday. Cherish the memories of her,it will help you through the mourning process. May Lisa, rest in peace, with God,now. I will keep you,Bev and Nicole, and all of the family in my prayers and thoughts. The only good thing, about all this,is that Lisa is no longer suffering,or in any pain. Still,we'll all MISS, her ALOT!!!

Nicole,
There is magic in a mother's touch, and sunshine in her smile. There is love in everything she does to make our lives worthwhile, we can find both hope and courage just by looking in her eyes. Her laughter is a source of joy,her words are warm and wise. There is kindness, and compassion in her embrace. And we see the light of heaven, shining from a mother's face. S.S.

Lisa,
"What moves through us,is a silence,a quiet sadness,a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, but we begin to remember not only that you died, but that you lived, and that your life gave us memories, too beautiful to forget."
Rest in peace,my friend. Nicole, your mother's love surrounds you, each and every day. Continue to make her proud,it will make her smile in heaven. She loved you, with all of her heart, girl, and still does. Give grandma Bev lots of hugs, she's needing them a lot, right now.

Dear Nicole, Beverly, Diane and extended family, I am so sorry for your loss. Lisa was a remarkable woman. A great daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. I will always remember her smile and laughter; especially when she couldn't stop laughing. She epitomized what it meant to be a great friend not just to me, but to the entire Brook family. I remembered a few years ago when Lisa and I ran into each other we just picked up where we left off! We reminisced about hanging out with the neighborhood kids, whether it was at the brook, swimming at my house, or over one of the many houses we would go. I feel it necessary to mention the brook since the last conversation we had was about the brook and how we all were like a family. Lisa was right. Our neighborhood was unique and special because she touched the lives of all of us! So many memories sports, concerts, the drive-in, hanging at Lisa's house listening to music, etc. Boy, did she loved her music! I guess one of my favorite memories of Lisa, was her creativity with words. Lisa, I will forever miss you. Until we meet again.

Your friend,
Lisa Camarda
