Loretta Rochette Obituary

Loretta M. Rochette, 77

MILLBURY - Loretta Mae (Myers) Rochette, 77. Died Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Saint Vincent Hospital with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late George A. "Red" and Gertrude M. (Progin) Myers and graduated from Auburn High School. Mrs. Rochette worked in the math department office at Assumption College for many years prior to retiring. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart-St. Catherine of Sweden Church.

Her husband of 21 years, Kenneth F. Rochette died in 1995. She is survived by three children David A. Dubey of Millbury, with whom she lived, Troy D. Dubey and his wife Tracy of East Brookfield and Edward E. Dubey and his wife Brenda of Leicester. Loretta was a loving Grammy to Marina (Dubey) Wynn and Nicholas, Ariel, Samantha, Cameron and Jacquelyn Dubey. She also leaves a sister, Patricia Merson of Putnam, CT and several nephews and nieces. Her brother George A. "Red" Myers, Jr. predeceased her.

Loretta enjoyed knitting and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox. Her favorite place to spend time in the summer was along the Cape Cod Canal where she loved to sit under the railroad bridge watching the boats pass by. Loretta was a loving and devoted grandmother to her six beautiful grandchildren and she always enjoyed attending their activities. She will be dearly missed by all.

Loretta's visiting hours will be held Monday, August 27th from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Lindquist Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, August 28th from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart-St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 600 Cambridge Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Loretta would like her friends and family to take the time and make an effort to spend quality time with those you love.

Dave, Troy, Ed, & family,
My heart is aching and tears are still flowing, but her suffering has ended.
Your mom was a very special friend to me as you all know. Over the years, almost 40 of them, we listened and talked to one another like sisters.
Laurie was a smart, sharp, and fun lady. Our Little League years on the board were so much fun. Her secretary notes missed nothing. She announced games, kept scoring, and helped run many Las Vegas nights for fundraising.
I'll miss her help with knitting as she was far better than I!
I'll never forget her and I will cherish all the times we've spent together.
All my love and sympathy,
Charlene
