Margaret Severance Obituary

Margaret M. Severance, 74, of 88 Gilbert St. died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 in Mary Lane Hospital.

She leaves her husband of 52 years, Thomas F. Severance; two sons, Thomas P. & his wife Janet of Marion, MA and Richard J. & his wife Joann of North Brookfield; a daughter, Martha Severance & her husband Dr. Charles J. LaTendresse of Grundy Center, Iowa; a sister, Patricia Crowley & her husband George of Farmington, CT; six grandchildren, Thomas & Kimberly LaTendresse of Iowa, Brittany & Holly Severance of Marion and Ryan & Kathryn Severance of North Brookfield. Margaret was born in Worcester the daughter of Nicholas & E. Grace (Whitcomb) Moore and has been a lifelong resident of North Brookfield. She worked for Chas. G. Allen Co. in Barre and later for J.J. Warren in North Brookfield until she retired in 1982. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church and a 62 year member of the Grange. Margaret was a member of the New Braintree Grange #170, the Bay Path Grange #9, the Massachusetts State Grange and the National Grange.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 44 Gilbert St., North Brookfield. A funeral Mass for Margaret will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 296 Main St., N. Brookfield. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Joseph's Church Renovation Fund, 28 Mt. Pleasant St. North Brookfield, MA 01535
