Mark Campaniello Obituary

Mark F.Campaniello, 54

Shrewsbury - Mark F. "Campi" Campaniello, 54, lifelong resident of Shrewsbury passed away Friday, January 26 2018, following a recent surgery.

Mark was born in Worcester, the eldest of three sons of Jean A. (Caparso) Campaniello and the late Michael Campaniello. Raised in Shrewsbury, he graduated from St. John's High School. He attended Plymouth State University in New Hampshire where he pursued a BS in Botany.

Mark possessed a lifelong passion for landscape design. As the owner of Campaniello Design, he loved turning ordinary outdoor areas into beautiful living spaces. He won numerous awards for his elaborate landscape designs and layouts.

Mark is survived by his three children, Michael F. Campaniello, Nina M. Campaniello and Marissa J. Campaniello; his mother, Dr. Jean A. Campaniello; his two brothers Paul M. Campaniello and his wife Debra, David J. Campaniello and his wife Eirinn; his companion Pamela Phillips, all of Shrewsbury; nephews and nieces with whom he was very close; multiple aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Mark lit up a room - he loved to laugh and joke. He would help anyone that needed it. One of Mark's greatest pleasures was cruising in his 1957 T-Bird, formally his father's. Mark loved spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. Mark was an avid skier, boater and bocce player. As a member of the Italian American Victory Club, Mark played in their bocce league, where he found great joy playing with his brothers and friends.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Tuesday, January 30th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester, MA. His funeral liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, January 31st with a Celebration of Life Mass at 10:00 am in St Mary's Church, 640 Main St. (please go directly to church). In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Marks's name can be made to The Campaniello Childrens' Fund at the Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union, 489 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.

Dear Jean, Paul, David and Mark's beautiful children,

May there be comfort in knowing that someone so special and loving will never be forgotten. May your family be embraced by the many memories Mark created during his lifetime and be comforted knowing he made a difference in the lives of others. Some of our happiest times were spent with the Campaniello family on Lake Winnipesaukee when the Campi boys were young. We're not surprised that Mark became a successful businessman because his people skills were evident from a young age. Our images of Mark in ski gear or on a boat will remain with us and bring a smile to our face since Mark will remain 'forever young'. Mark will be missed by so many people whose lives he touched. May His Memory Be Eternal.
Love, Marianne & Barry

Had the pleasure of working with Campi on multiple jobs this season. Learning his tricks of the trade not only helped my company grow as a whole but also my employees. Going to miss seeing him around the job site and busting eachothers chops. In 10 years I've only had 1 person ever show up to the shop with fresh tuna steaks, wasabi and the works... sit down at my desk and serve a 4 course meal within minutes. Until we meet again my friend, rest easy

Mark you were like an Uncle to me!
This world will not be the same without you smiling face!
I'll never forget going to Winnepausaukee with you and Uncle David every year as a kid!
You taught me how to ride a jet ski and how to get back up and try again at water skiing after you dragged me across the lake sideways at the age of 10!
You also taught me how to place pennies on train tracks and as a kid it was the coolest thing ever...to see what the train did to them!
I'll always remember Fun Spot too!
You taught me how to order my first coffee at Dunkins too..."with enough sugar to take out a diabetic" Erin and I were so lucky to have you in our lives like an Uncle!
You were always there for us...When we lost my Dad, Grandfather and any other bump in the road we faced you were there!
I will miss seeing you drive by in the old car!
Like I said....this world will not be the same without you!
Sending Love and Prayers to the kids, your Mom and friend Pam during this difficult time.
May you fly high with the angels.
Your memory will be within our hearts forever.
